IEEE 1100: Powering and Grounding Electronic Systems: Best Practices

Room: N0202, Bldg: Sarkeys Energy Center, 100 Boyd St, Norman, Oklahoma, United States, 73019-1102, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/483213

This session addresses best practices for designing power and grounding systems that ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of sensitive electronic equipment. Participants will learn strategies for minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI), preventing ground loops, protecting equipment from electrical disturbances, and designing robust electrical infrastructures. The workshop emphasizes how applying IEEE 1100 principles leads to enhanced system resilience, reduced downtime, and extended equipment lifespan in industrial, commercial, and IT environments. PDH certificates will be provided. Offered by the IEEE Oklahoma City Section as part of the Standard Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) Workshop Series.
